P. Hurshell’s poems have been heard on Oregon radio’s Literary Café and appear in the journals Puget Soundings; Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review; Drash: Northwest Mosaic; Calyx: A Journal of Art and Literature for Women, Melusine, and the online journalMenacing Hedge, among others. She’s been a finalist in 2 poetry contests (KNOCKOUT! Spring 2010 and Melusine May 2011). “In Winter” is included in Best American Poetry 2009. “Lulu stuck in the opera” is forth-coming in an anthology, Myths and Legends (Scarecrow Press). She is currently completing a poetry manuscript (On and Off Stage) and translating the Shoah poems of Dagmar Nick, Gertrude Kolmar, and Hilde Domin.
